Postdoc position in experimental physics, semiconductors, low-dimensional electron gases
Beschreibung: In the group of Prof. Dr. Heinzel, a Postdoctoral research position /Wissenschaftliche(r) Mitarbeiter(in) is available starting on March 1st, 2010. The group plans to strengthen its research activities in the field of electronic transport properties of semiconductors and low-dimensional electron gases. Specifically, transport experiments on gallium arsenide - based systems and on graphene are carried out, supported by numerical simulations. In addition, the group is active in the field of polymer electronics, in particular in polypyrrole based structures. More details can be found on our website at www.solid.uni-duesseldorf.de. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. in experimental physics, preferably with knowledge in, or closely related to, the above mentioned research field. Experience in semiconductor processing, cryogenics and mesoscopic transport would be helpful. The tasks of this position include - Experimental research on graphene and conductive polymers, with sample preparation, transport measurements, data interpretation, and formulation of scientific manuscripts; The position will be available for two years, with the possibility of significant extension of the contract.
